Name your own price
One of my new year’s resolutions was to focus more on my screencasts. It can be difficult to balance running a business with creating and releasing screencasts. I really enjoy screencasting and would like to find a balance!
I decided to make my screencasts paid …
- so I can accept contributions to allow me to dedicate more time to screencasting
- as a motivator for me to release more and better screencasts
I decided to try the “name your own price” model so people can still check out my screencasts for free and, if they like them, they’ll hopefull contibute! We’ll see how it goes.
Feedback
I would also like to start collecting suggestions for screencasting topics!
I have been screencasting a lot of my own tools or … just random things that I find interesting.
I would like to start focusing more on what my audience would like to see! There are a lot of topics that I could easily sit down and screencast on, especially things related to:
- Ruby
- Linux
- BASH
- JavaScript
- Browser extensions
I want to start getting into Android development, so you might see some of that from me soon. I could also easily screencast on .NET, Java, or PHP topics.
Sometimes the only motivation I need is for someone to ask me to screencast a particular topic. So start submitting your suggestions!

PS. I’m going to be making a few more changes to my blog shortly. I’ll be:
- Letting you reset your password
- Sending you an email after every purchase (unless you opt-out)
- Making sure that ALL of my video download links are working and the videos work!
